Axial turbines Flow monitor SIKA VTH 15

The SIKA Turbotron Flow Sensor Type VTH 15 is used for flow measurement and metering in water and water mixtures.

The sensor is used in many applications such as: Monitoring of cooling circuits in mechanical and plant engineering - Water treatment - Cleaning processes - Dosage.

 

How it works: The fluid flowing into the turbo-tyne is divided into four partial beams by the guide blading divided up. These hit the rotor from four directions and make it spin. Due to the uniform load of Storage on four sides, the forces largely cancel each other and the wear is reduced to a minimum. The extremely hard bearing materials, sapphire and carbide, additionally guarantee an extraordinary Lifespan.

 

The rotor speed is now converted into an electrical pulse signal (frequency): VTH and VTP are equipped with rotors equipped with magnets. A Hall effect sensor detects the rotation of the rotor.
